Easy Pineapple Whip (Mock Dole Whip) -
So I saw this three ingredient recipe for making a similar product like Dole Whip and had to try it. Mind you, this is not my original recipe so I can’t take credit for it. I saw it on several different recipe websites and it looked so delicious I had to try it since I have had Dole Whip when vacationing in Hawaii. Sharing with you, my process of making it and the end result.
First, you need only three ingredients. Frozen pineapple chunks, frozen bananas and canned coconut milk. That’s it! You don’t have to buy frozen bagged pineapple chunks, you can use canned or fresh also.
Directions are simple. Measure 4 cups of pineapple chunks and pour into blender, food processor or smoothie maker. Then add a frozen banana cut in half. Finally add ½ cup coconut milk.
If using a blender, set to smoothie and blend. The blender I used was just an everyday inexpensive on since my smoothie maker broke and I hadn’t replaced it yet.
I had to take the lid off and use a spatula to help break up the frozen pineapple several times until the pineapple and banana were completely blended and smooth. If you use a food processor or high quality smoothie maker, you most likely will be able to skip this step.
Since it took my blender longer to complete the process, the soft serve was a bit too soft, so all I did was place it in the freezer for a bit to firm up.
And there you have it! Delicious pineapple whip. Almost like Dole Whip! So refreshing on a hot summer day. 😊
